CANCELLATION POLICY:
All payment arrangements (credit card, check or purchase order) must be received and finalized by the designated payment deadline to secure a confirmed reservation.

Cancellation fees are as follows:
  • Up to 30 days prior to class start date - No cancellation fee
  • 30 to 21 days prior to class start date - Eligible for 50% refund of course tuition
  • 21 to start of class - Forfeit of 100% of course tuition
Requests for refund due to emergency situations will be considered on a case by case basis and must be approved by the ManTech Security & Mission Assurance Training Center Director.

Overview
The Fundamentals of Computer Forensics Imaging course is an intensive 4 day hands-on training experience led by seasoned computer forensics professionals. It provides the student with a broad understanding of the forensics imaging process and provides an opportunity to learn how to use multiple commercial and open-source tools for digital evidence acquisition. Students who complete this course will have a solid foundation to be able to acquire all forms of digital media in a forensically sound manner.

Fundamentals of Information Systems Security Course:

Overview:
The Fundamentals of Information Systems Security course is an intensive 4.5-day training experience led by seasoned IA security professionals. It provides the student with a broad understanding of IA security policy, principles, rules, and procedures. The course is based upon the two principal guidelines for DoD and intelligence community AIS security:

Students who complete this course will gain the skills, policy familiarity, and technical understanding necessary to perform the daily job functions of an Information Assurance Officer (IAO).

The Fundamentals course can be purchased as a dedicated presentation to your group. The fixed price for a dedicated presentation of the Fundamentals of Information Systems Security course is $27,500. This price does not include a facility in which to host the course. If the customer is unable to provide a suitable facility, a facility can be provided at additional cost. The cost of the course includes presentation of the 4.5-day course for a maximum of 25 students, course textbooks and reference materials for each student.

Advanced Information Systems Security Course:

Overview:
The Advanced Information Systems Security course is a 3.5-day, hands-on, LAN-based course focused on increasing the Security Officer’s or System Administrator’s skills in securely configuring WIN XP/2003® based systems to meet today’s security challenges. Each student will have the opportunity to configure a system audit policy and extract audited information. Hands-on exercises and demonstrations encompassing Firewall Administration, Intrusion Defense, and Computer Forensic and Investigation techniques will provide the student an understanding of the current threat spectrum facing information systems today and the knowledge and confidence to mitigate that threat.

Course Content
The LAN-based Advanced Information Systems Security course addresses the array of threats facing an information system today and prepares the security official to recognize and mitigate specific threats. The student leaves the class armed with the knowledge and tools required to ensure that his information system operates at an acceptable level of risk.

Overview:
The Windows Security Audit course is an intensive 2.5-day training experience led by seasoned Information System Security and Technology professionals. It provides the student a structured approach to auditing in DCID/JAFAN 6/3 environments. Emphasis is placed on teaching a repeatable and effective auditing methodology so that students can succeed with system auditing in their workplace environment.
Native windows tools will be developed and utilized with surprisingly successful results within the budget and resource constraints that most communities experience. Tools are used with education to explain Event ID’s and solutions to current challenges; such as USB storage devices, unruly event log accumulation, and missing logon/logoff events, to name a few.

Introduction to Linux Security Training

Overview:
The Introduction to Linux Security course is an intensive 2.5-day training experience led by seasoned Information System Security and Technology professionals. This course provides practice in advanced Information Systems Security skills to support the protection of information and information systems within a DCID/JAFAN 6/3 environment. During the course of instruction the student will be able to apply Linux security features in order to adhere to requirements for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Each student will have the opportunity, through practical exercises and hands-on labs, to configure a Linux workstation to comply with DCID/JAFAN 6/3 technical security requirements for a Protection Level Two system.
Hands-on labs and demonstrations will provide the student with the knowledge and confidence to address the current government technical and non-technical security requirements in a rational and practical manner.
