Our long partnership with Department of Defense (DoD) programs has worked to address the challenges of electronic equipment maintenance for the rapidly changing weapons test and support environments. We are a leading prime contractor for the Government and leading integrator of DoD Automatic Test Systems (ATS).
MTSI has been a leader in the use of open standards and non-proprietary designs. Our commercial and DoD designs are based on an open-architecture approach, taking advance of best of breed solutions. Our products include a diverse range of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) test systems to accommodate organizational, intermediate, and depot-level requirements, including mobile, man-portable systems. These products are used worldwide and cover a broad range of testing requirements ranging from small desktop and benchtop digital and hybrid systems, to advanced functional systems designed to enhance comprehensive depot maintenance activities employing RF and Electro-Optical technology, and ruggedized, mobile field test systems. Our AURORA series test systems are developed using VXI/PXI technology within a modular, open architecture environment that significantly increases productivity and reduces downtime, resulting in substantial savings in test programming and maintenance costs. These COTS products form the baseline for military configurations supporting sophisticated avionics, command and control, communications, intelligence, and instrumentation test hardware and software.
MTSI also has extraordinary expertise in developing TPSs for various and extensive commercial customers, as well as the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, Army, and Coast Guard; other U.S. Government agencies; the Canadian Air Force and Royal Australian Navy. Our TPS development ranges from complex Shop Replaceable Units, with more than 300 integrated circuits and 68,020 microprocessors, to complex Line Replaceable Units composed of more than 50 Shop Replacement Assemblies. MTSI is the OEM for the DoD standard family Third Echelon Test System.
MTSI is an ISO 9001:2000-certified company (certification number CERT-03192-2001-AQ-HOU-RvA/RAB, initial certification date 23 March 2001) and has achieved certification for software development in full compliance with Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model (SEI-CMM) Level 3 requirements.
