Multi-layered infrastructure

Our people, processes, resources, and infrastructure provide a pivot point for the successful integration and interoperability of systems, and they come together fully in our Center for Technology and Integrated Team Solutions Facility, engineering spaces designed to make integration smoother and easier. Our collaborative infrastructure allows us to forge relationships with academia, government, and industry to provide seamless integration of security, IT, property management, and other services.

Real-time software applications

Modern warfare—whether on a physical or cyber battlefield—requires the warfighter to assess and use information from multiple sources quickly and appropriately. Our experienced software engineers and developers design and support the real-time software applications that cyber security programs, C4ISR systems, and other complex defense and weapons system rely on to function as designed.

Embedded software engineering

ManTech engineers are skilled in designing and maintaining single-purpose systems that are embedded within larger systems, like weapons, medical equipment, vehicles, and space systems. We understand systems ranging from low-complexity portable devices to large stationary systems multiple units, peripherals, and networks.

Virtualization/cloud computing

ManTech uses leading-edge technologies to develop the innovative cloud architectures our federal government customers need. We are experts in information assurance, and we certify, accredit, and sustain the cloud architecture and supporting systems.

We have spearheaded the development of cloud architecture for the U.S. Army's Distributed Common Ground Systems (DCGS-A) and have provided experienced technical personnel, extensive corporate knowledge, and battle-tested system solutions. We support the sustainment of regional and edge clouds today and will continue to field and test innovative cloud concepts and technologies and help the government develop and use them in the future.

Biometrics and identity management

ManTech sustains and expands the Biometric Identification System for Access (BISA), which is used for base-access control in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our expertise in this field includes enrollment, electronic biometric file transmissions, card printing, issuance, and verification devices. We developed five of BISA's critical-infrastructure components: transaction manager, smart card, configuration management system, handheld verification devices, and day worker applications. We provide full support services for biometrics and identity management, including software engineering, operations, training, and hardware, software, and telecommunications support.

Network and database administration

ManTech professionals have the full range of technical skills required by any organization. We manage all the functions required of today's system or database administrator, including installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer systems; planning for and responding to service outages and other problems; scripting and programming; project management; supervision and training of computer operators; and consulting for computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support staff.

Enterprise systems development

ManTech fully supports maintaining the highest security standards possible in order to protect information assets while we enjoy the benefits of a more open, modern, information-sharing society. That's why we offer an enterprise-wide approach that achieves this balance and helps organizations control access to information resources; integrate existing systems, data, and products; and take advantage of the newest technologies in the most effective, efficient way possible. We also plan and design architecture to support changing needs and provide ongoing support to help organizations adapt to technology modernization and changes. We do all this in a collaborative relationship that fosters excellent communication in both secure and non-secure environments.

Social media/collaboration environments

ManTech has developed its own proprietary social media and collaboration platform that delivers improved social networking and information-sharing capabilities. GovKonnex, which aligns to customer functional and operational requirements, fosters a customized, secure, collaborative environment that connects data to data, data to people, and people to people.

Legacy systems support

Many organizations need to rely on legacy systems and face the challenge of integrating them with newer systems, hardware and software. ManTech engineers and technicians have a broad knowledge of those legacy systems and substantial experience adapting those systems to new demands.

Advanced training solutions and Interactive Courseware (ICW)

ManTech provides blended, interactive training solutions, and systems and personnel support worldwide. To date, ManTech has trained more than 3,000 U.S. military personnel worldwide and developed and delivered more than 2,500 hours of interactive courseware and simulations, including more than 175 hours of classified training.

Systems integration and Agile methodologies

ManTech specializes in rapid, Agile, cost-effective systems integration, and we are the lead systems integrator for the U.S. Marine Corps. Our Agile methodology reduces defects, re-work and overhead costs by almost 50 percent, and we pride the full range of services required by any systems-integration project, including finance and budget, logistics, systems engineering, software development and integration, testing and quality assurance, systems accreditation, and acquisition support.

Rapid prototyping

ManTech uses rapid application development (RAD) to write software quickly and make it easier to change requirements. Using methods like iterative development and software prototyping, we merge structured techniques with prototyping techniques to accelerate the development of software systems. After defining user requirements, we develop preliminary data models and business-process models using structured techniques. Then we use prototyping to verify the requirements and refine the data and process models.
