Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Configuration Manager to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD area. As a configuration Manager you will support NAVAIR’s  Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office. This program provides full life cycle acquisition of naval aviation platform and general training systems, training range instrumentation systems, and distributed mission training centers to provide U.S. Navy and Marine Corps pilots, naval flight officers, aircrew, and maintainers with the training equipment required to provide lethal capability and operational readiness.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Performing configuration management processes throughout the lifecycle of the program, including baselining of hardware, software, and documentation; preparation of change control board packages; facilitation of change control meetings; and configuration audits
  • Performing data management processes throughout the lifecycle of the program, including management of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and deliveries
  • Performing and maintain CM/DM inventory and CDRL deliverable processes and functions in CMPro
  • Planning and executing configuration management processes throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security
  • Overseeing the daily management of configuration items

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, Business Administration or management information sciences is required
  • 5 years of Configuration Management (CM) experience.
  • 5 years of experience establishing and controlling the CM Audits, CM Library, Configuration Items, and baselines.
  • 5 years of experience with Configuration Management Guidance in MIL-HDBK-61B and National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management in ANSI/EIA-649B.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience performing scripting (JavaScript, VB Script, Python, LUA, etc.) as needed for software builds desired.
  • 5 years of experience with multiple configuration management tools to include GIT/GIT Lab, Azure/DevOps, Visual Studio Team System (VSTS), etc., is desired
  • 5 years of experience implementing and maintaining CMMI Level 3 and above.
  • 5 years of experience with ISO 9000 standards.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess a current / active U.S. Government Secret clearance with Top Secret Eligibility. (Top Secret clearance preferred)
  • Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
