Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Administrator to join our team in Patuxent River, MD  
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Install, relocate, configure, modify, and test routers, hubs, switches, wireless access points and associated controllers, and terminal servers. 

  • Measure network performance and connectivity. 

  • Maintain and manage Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs). 

  • Configuring CISCO NXOS/IOS at both switch and router.

  • Apply Cybersecurity Checklist to switch and router.

  • Configure VLANs on switch for management, modeling and simulation networks.

  • Ensure SSH is configured to allow individual access to the component.

  • Disabling of non-used ports.

  • Configure Network (Switch / Router) to function in a virtualized environment with VMware vSphere and vCenter.

  • Configure network for multicast/unicast routing/switching. 

  • Operate and maintain Network Management Systems (NMS). 

  • Operate and maintain Network Operating Systems (NOS). 

  • Operate and maintain security firewalls/Virtual Private Network (VPN) devices. 

  • Maintain documentation necessary for operations in support of LAN to WAN connectivity. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or a High School diploma with an additional 6 years of experience.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must have an Active Top Secret clearance to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-6 years of experience as a network engineer/architect and computer systems administrator.

  • 2-6 years of experience implementing operating systems and network devices security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides.

  • 2-6 years of experience in specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices (i.e. managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); experience in remote switch and router management.

  • Experience with vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks.

  • Experience with managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks to include logical need to know separation between data.

  • Possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical Level II in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M. (i.e., GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP & Vendor certification, and IT Training Provider certificate for network environment main operating system).
