Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in supporting a large US Government program in the San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of complex engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature in one or more of the company’s product/service areas requiring strong technical skills in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines.
  • Plans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification.
  • Participates on project teams and provides guidance to technical staff.
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explains complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must meet Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) qualification level of IAT1 or above as listed in PWS Para 4.1.1. Must have information system security certification such as Security.
  • 6 years of relevant experience. Extensive, highly relevant experience may be evaluated to replace the formal degree requirement.
  • Certified developer in Java or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE).
  • Two or more years of direct experience in Agile managed projects.
  • Two or more years of direct experience with secure web application development as well as scripting and development experience within MS Office applications such as Excel.

Education/Certifications:

  • MS/BS degree

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,000-$140,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
