What drew you to ManTech?

Several key factors, starting with ManTech’s reputation in the federal marketspace, its range of capabilities and its people. I was especially wowed by the way ManTech treats its employees. And in my case, ManTech offered me the ability to create my own charter, which is to help the company become more alliance-centric. That’s an amazing opportunity to drive my own career.

What is or has been the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I’m an avid Swiss watch collector.

How do you balance career and home life?

It’s easy my wife is an executive for a cloud service provider, so we both have demanding careers. We’re used to balancing work and family life as part of a team.

What’s your favorite place in the world?

London my wife and I have extended family there.

What do you like most about ManTech?

The employees. We’re like family. ManTech’s employees are world-class and truly stand out, especially in the world of government contracting, where the competition for talent is fierce. Further, we have a broad range of capabilities that drive our business from cybersecurity to logistics and sustainment, model-based systems engineering, space protection and resilience. It’s exciting to be on the forefront of the technology and innovation that’s changing how our defense, national security and civilian customers work.

What’s the coolest thing about what you’re working on now?

Over the past several months I’ve learned a lot about ManTech’s approach to supporting the Defense Department, federal civilian sector and intelligence community customers, and how this marketplace differs from the commercial world. I have been impressed by ManTech’s team-centric culture and openness to new ideas offered by employees. Senior management trusts me to grow and strengthen our strategic partnerships as well as bringing ‘best practices’ in Partnership Management.

What advice do you have for prospective ManTech candidates?

First, understand the requirements of the role for which you’re applying. Then, take the time to map your past experiences to those requirements to demonstrate your specific fit. This will help you articulate how you are the perfect person to help ManTech achieve its goals.

But beyond that, when you’re searching for a new position, don’t focus on the specific job requirements alone look closely at the company’s track record, especially its management team and performance. The management team sets the tone, the corporate ethos and company culture. You want to ensure you’re working for a company that’s growing but also for people whom you like and respect. That tone comes from the top. And in that respect, ManTech has it all.

What does Securing the Future® mean to you?

If we at ManTech have done our jobs properly, most Americans will never know it. Everyday life will continue because, behind the scenes, we’ve provided the tools, talent and mission support to the warfighters, analysts and technicians who are tasked with ensuring our national security. I’m proud to leverage my talents here, where each and every one of us is Securing the Future.
