Last Thursday, a few hundred government leaders and government contracting professionals met at the Ritz-Carlton in Tyson’s Corner, Va. to honor their best and brightest.

The event was the 2018 WashingtonExec Pinnacle Awards, which aimed to honor senior federal government and industry executives for outstanding achievements over the last two years.

Award Winners Tina Ferguson and Rick Wagner

ManTech leaders were well-represented, winning in two categories.

Rick Wagner, President of ManTech’s Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group was named “2018 Intelligence Executive of the Year.”

Among Wagner’s achievements this year alone are signature wins of $959 million for enterprise IT with a large defense agency for secure enterprise IT, $669 million with the Department of Homeland Security for CDM, $158 million with the Air Force Space Command, and $133 million with Army INSCOM.

Wagner is also a proponent of training that advances the careers of ManTech personnel who support the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies.

Examples include ManTech’s relationship with Purdue Global University to provide CISSP training and certification, and college-accredited courses in cyber and cloud that count toward bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

“Rick Wagner provides vision, strategy and operations management of the company’s business with the Intelligence Community,” said Kevin Phillips, ManTech President and CEO. “Since joining ManTech in 2015 he has guided our emergence as one of the industry’s principal thought leaders in developing and delivering innovative technology solutions for the IC.”

Also honored at the 2018 Pinnacle Awards last week was Tina Ferguson, who was selected as a “2018 Executive Assistant of the Year.”

Tina is the Executive Administrator for ManTech’s Cyber Solutions business unit based in Hanover, Md.

In addition to her day-to-day administrative duties, Tina consistently exceeds her responsibilities by, for instance, serving as a liaison with ManTech’s Intelligence Community (IC) customers. At large events, she guides command-level staff from the Military and IC Agencies.  For ManTech internal programs, she provides training to new employees on our back office processes.

“Tina is literally the face of ManTech to some of our most important industry and community partners,” said Paul Gentile, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ManTech’s Cyber Solutions Business Unit. “She serves as ManTech’s primary liaison to her counterpart EAs of key government executives. She also sets up meetings and events for the Business Unit and volunteers to help with corporate events.
