By Omari Faulkner, ManTech Military Ambassador

At ManTech we proudly honor the members of our Armed Forces and the military veterans who currently stand and have stood ready and willing to protect our nation’s freedom.

November is National Veterans and Military Families Month, which is an opportunity for us to pause and pay tribute to our nation’s veterans who answered the call to service, and the military families that supported them in that journey.

Veterans are widely recognized for their ability to lead, focus, solve problems and improve processes.  These are among the reasons that ManTech has made a conscious effort to hire, train and promote veterans – they now make up 45% of our employees. Our ManTech team is committed to supporting veterans through their transition from active duty to civilian life.

Thus, this Veterans Day, we are honored to announce the launch of ManTech Vets, our new technical training program. The program provides veterans with six months of training in ServiceNow and cloud computing, and then empowers graduates to test their new-found skills by working alongside technical experts to help solve real-world problems.

“ManTech Vets is an investment that shows our commitment to our veterans by providing them the opportunity to learn new skills and join a veteran-friendly industry leader,” said Matt Tait, ManTech’s COO. “We value our veterans and their ability to quickly learn new skills – and then synthesize and apply those skills to achieve mission success on critical national security programs.”

ManTech Vets participants will receive first-hand experience with ServiceNow, ITIL fundamentals and agile development methodology.  At the programs’ completion, veterans will graduate with their ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification and will be eligible to sit for their Certified Application Developer certification. We will then put them to work on ManTech contracts.

The ManTech Vets program promises to bridge the gap between active duty and civilian life by offering training and placement, to jumpstart a new career.

We thank all of our military veteran employees for their valor and for the critical role they play in helping drive our ManTech’s mission success.
