Department of State, Global Information Technology Modernization

The Global Information Technology Modernization (GITM) program is the first-ever integrated deployment of a Department-wide operating system throughout the State Department. The primary objective of the GITM program is to protect the Department's information-technology investments by deploying modernized systems at embassies and consulates worldwide. This initiative is a 4-year lifecycle model with several phases in the development process for each location. ManTech is responsible for modernizing the OpenNet/ClassNet LANs in embassies, consulates, and domestic bureaus.

ManTech experts designed an eight-step modernization and installation, ISO: 9001 process resulting in a reliable and repeatable process for system fielding. Within specialized integration facilities, our engineers and analysts design, procure, and integrate the latest system software and hardware technologies, including LAN servers, switches and routers, workstations, and network printers. Once the technology is integrated and ready for deployment, ManTech managers and installation teams prepare the hardware shipments and travel to each post for the final installation phase.

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Enterprise Systems Development

ManTech provides USPTO with the solutions and support it needs to reengineer next-generation systems and stabilize legacy applications.  More than 13,000 USPTO employees and millions of external users rely on ManTech's support services to process patent and trademark applications.  Using leading-edge technologies and processes such as rapid prototype development through SCRUM methodology, we help ensure that USPTO will overcome future challenges such as an expected growth in applications and the need to adapt its processes to comply with the America Invents Act (AIA). We use cloud-based computing initiatives; Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) - aligned storage, data, and software architectures; and open-source and COTS products integration to help the USPTO process applications quickly and accurately.
