What drew you to ManTech?

Lekha

I was exploring opportunities to work on federal projects when I learned about a position with the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) DEFEND E program. The opportunity to work in the cybersecurity domain and be part of the DHS mission to secure the nation’s infrastructure was what drew me to this job.

What keeps me here is the collaborative work environment, a very supportive leadership and the freedom to be innovative in executing my responsibilities.

What do you like most about ManTech?

It’s been an amazing four years here. We have excellent opportunities to work with technology vendors and cloud service providers to develop innovative solutions to support our mission.

Additionally, ManTech provides an environment that fosters personal and career growth. I am currently enrolled in a master’s program in Cybersecurity Management with full tuition support through ManTech's Purdue Global partnership. I am on track to complete my degree in January 2024. In addition, ManTech covered a portion of my tuition expenses for the MBA program I completed in 2022.

What advice do you have for prospective ManTech candidates?

If you are customer-focused and looking for an environment that fosters innovation, promotes diversity and supports personal and career growth, ManTech is the right choice for you. Once here, be sure to leverage the multitude of opportunities as certification challenges, Tech Elite recognitions, opportunities to collaborate with our partners and continuous learning through elite universities such as Purdue Global.

What is the most interesting aspect about what you’re working on now?

I currently support the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies to fulfill the mission of the CDM program. Some of the high-profile initiatives I am engaged in are pilot programs that help CISA decide on the best approach to enhance endpoint security and improve the cloud security posture of federal civilian agencies. It is great to be part of the program and see the evolution from the pilot phase to phased roll-out to the rest of the enterprise.

What does “Securing the FutureTM” mean to you?

Firstly, assisting the customer with enhancing the security of federal civilian agencies  through innovative cyber technology solutions. Secondly, enhancing the efficiency of the CDM program to provide the best value to our customers. Finally, leveraging opportunities for personal development and career growth so I can continue to be part of securing the future of the nation.
