What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about Software, specifically as it relates to defense. I am planning on going into the field of CyberSecurity following my graduation from college, so it has always been fascinating to see how software is evolving to protect our nation, our communities, and ourselves.
What do you like most about ManTech?
The best part of ManTech for me is the opportunity. Not only to advance in the company, but also to learn more about different subjects that I am interested in. For instance, I am currently working on a Micro Certification in Predictive Intelligence outside of work. Overall, between ManTech University, Skillsoft, and Purdue, there is something out there for everyone to learn.
How have you balanced your internship, school, and home life?
Over the past year, I have been fortunate to continue my internship through my time at school. I was granted the opportunity to work 10 hours a week while I was attending classes. As you might expect, this posed a little bit of a challenge, having to manage homework, classes, and work. However, I found that if I got schoolwork done in the morning and early afternoon, I could work around 2 hours of work a day and still have the rest of the night to enjoy college life.
How DID your internship help?
The amount of real-world technology experience I have gotten in just over a year with the company is unbelievable. I have worked on Microsoft Office, Data Automation, and foundational Cybersecurity knowledge. Working with ManTech is a great resume builder, and coupled with my degree I am currently working on it will be very beneficial to me when I leave school and join the workforce
What advice do you have for someone thinking of interning/working at ManTech?
Do it. Without hesitation it is the best career decision I have ever made. The community, experience, and opportunity ManTech provides is unmatched.
