What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about tackling significant challenges and pushing my limits. I thrive on solving problems that many have struggled with, as it keeps me in a state of constant learning and growth. I believe that by taking on tasks that are unfamiliar or difficult, I can continuously improve and expand my skill set. My goal every day is to be better than I was the day before, and I achieve this by experimenting with new tools and programming languages, even for tasks I already know how to perform.

What drew you to MANTECH?

I was drawn to MANTECH because of its commitment to pushing the envelope in the world of technology. I sought a company where I could elevate my skills in Artificial Intelligence to the next level, and MANTECH’s comprehensive Data and AI program, with its diverse applications for creating client solutions, was the perfect fit. Be prepared to move fast, learn quickly, and embrace the rapid pace of change. What do you wish people understood about Data and AI?

There are numerous facets to Data and AI beyond the commonly recognized chatbot-style generative AI. AI encompasses a wide range of capabilities and applications that can address some of the most significant challenges our customers face. At MANTECH, we integrate various aspects of Data and AI, such as machine learning, clustering, agentic flows, tooling, and model-centric programming (MCP), to develop comprehensive and innovative solutions. We apply AI in creative ways that extend beyond traditional applications, demonstrating its potential to revolutionize problem-solving across multiple domains.

How do you balance career and home life?

I achieve balance through transition and containment. When I used to commute to an office, I had a 45-minute drive home that served as a transition period. Initially, my mind would be occupied with work-related thoughts, but as I drove, I would gradually shift my focus to home and family. By the time I arrived home, I was mentally prepared to engage with my family and leave work concerns behind.

Now that I work from home, I practice containment. I designate my office as the sole place for work-related activities. I do not work in the kitchen, on the couch, or in any other part of the house. This geographic separation helps my mind recognize that work tasks and stresses are confined to the office. When I leave the office, I cross a threshold and leave work-related thoughts and emotions behind. This mental training ensures that work stress does not infiltrate other areas of my home life.
