General (Retired) Bryan P. Fenton joined the MANTECH Board of Directors in April 2026.
General Fenton retired from the U.S. Army in 2025 after serving more than 38 years as a career Special Forces officer including as Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command, Commander of the Joint Special Operations Command, the Senior Military Assistant for two U.S. Secretaries of Defense, Deputy Commander, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and Commander of U.S. Special Operations-Pacific Command.
As the 13th Commander of USSOCOM, General Fenton oversaw U.S. Special Operations forces across the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, totaling 70,000 personnel. His distinguished career includes leadership roles spanning the globe, along with multiple deployments in Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa and the Philippines.
General Fenton currently serves on several non-profit boards including: The Honor Foundation, Vigilant Torch Foundation, Spirit of America and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. He is also on the advisory board of Duke University’s Fuqua Business School/Coach K Center for Organizational Leadership and Ethics.
General Fenton has received several prestigious awards, including the Moose Krause Service Award from the University of Notre Dame, the Eisenhower Award from Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and the Omar N. Bradley Spirit of Independence Award.
General Fenton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
