ManTech is seeking a Data Analyst with strong Tableau experience to join our USMC team supporting our growing Marine Corps programs in Quantico, VA.

The role of a Data Analyst (DA) is to provide direct, specific support to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) in the definition, development, and implementation of a data management plan (DMP). A DMP provides a unified approach for modernizing management of acquisition data and the DA directly supports this intent. Acquisition data is not unified so the acquisition data landscape is not understood. A DA will help the CDO manage baselines at the enterprise, design resiliency and confidence in our equipment, and engage in efficient engineering and acquisition practices, especially related information technology (IT). The DA will elevate interest in and begin using artificial intelligence (AI) to unify data, which will enable data-enriched force projection, optimizes technology insertion and, ultimately, increase warfighting readiness in the combined physical and information domain. The DA will also focus analysis on the Defense Industrial supply chain. This job involves assisting the organization adhere to new policy, regulations, and processes to ensure the fidelity of acquisition.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and maintain data systems and databases, including fixing coding errors and other data-related problems

  • Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts

  • Must have advanced Data Manipulation abilities to clean, transform and shape data into visualizations using calculations and formulas.

  • Establish processes for data mining, reorganizing mined data, and preserving nuggets mined from the data

  • Develop processes and practices for organizing new and legacy data into a format readable by either human or machine

  • Create documentation/visualizations that allows stakeholders to understand the data analysis process to enable duplication

  • Collaborate with technical partners and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance

  • Provide research and reporting support to customer Senior Leadership, supporting staff, and stakeholders

  • Communicate, coordinate, share information, and work closely with customer components

  • Report on underlying patterns of behavior by conducting detailed analysis of incidents, threats and risks and business data analytics

  • Facilitate establishing and maintaining a data repository of analyses and assessments

  • Communicate, coordinate, share information, and work closely with customer components and stakeholders

  • Track and manage internal and external requests for information (RFIs) and requests for analysis (RFAs) for the organization and produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance metrics reports

Security Clearance Requirements:
Must possess an active SECRET clearance.

Required Skills:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or equivalent and at least 4 years of relevant work experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience with Tableau or Power BI as a power user.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience developing production systems for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data in Java, Python, R, C++, SQL or similar technology stack.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong team player, capable of working collaboratively in customer teams but must also be able to work independently to complete projects.
