Karim Phillips Headshot

Title: Sales Account Director
Group: Mission Solutions & Services Group
Time at ManTech: 3 years

What drew you to ManTech?

I spent more than 15 years working for a competitor, and always admired ManTech’s ability to provide elite services at a competitive price point. ManTech was always on my short list of companies to work for.

If you could pick one ManTech mission or milestone to turn into a book or movie, what would it be?

I would turn our 50th Anniversary into a movie. If we could retrace the growth of ManTech from inception to now as a multi-billion dollar company. It’s remarkable what George Pedersen and the teams have been able to accomplish.

What advice do you have for prospective ManTech candidates?

When making your final decision, consider the entire package. ManTech operates like a family with a tightknit group. This is certainly an environment that you can grow and exceed as an employee.

How do you get your caffeine in the mornings?

Coffee (Starbucks or ManTech kitchen)

What is on your wish list for the next 10 years with the company?

I would like to progress in my career and accept a vice president position within sales or operations.

What is the coolest thing about what you’re working on now?

The opportunity to bring cutting-edge technology to troops in harm’s way – solutions that enable them to better protect themselves.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?

I would swap places with Bill Gates and leverage my fame and fortune to make this world a better place for everyone.
