Vice President, Operations, Veterans Affairs Programs
Randy Tharp leads ManTech’s Veterans Affairs Portfolio and is responsible for all program delivery and execution of projects.
Mr. Tharp joined ManTech in 2019 as the company’s VA Portfolio Manager and oversees 26 different VA projects. Mr. Tharp is responsible for the alignment of ManTech’s technical and programmatic capabilities to meet VA’s demand to deliver critical services to our nation’s veterans.
A U.S. military veteran, Randy Tharp served for more than 7 years in the Army as a non-commissioned officer and served two tours to Iraq. Upon exiting the service, Mr. Tharp served in the Executive Office of the President, Office of Management and Budget to provide oversight of major IT initiatives for agencies and worked hand in hand with agency CIOs on budget requests, IT oversight, supported the Federal CIO Council, developed and contributed to federal wide policies to improve acquisition efficiencies, infrastructure modernization, and FITARA as examples. Randy has extensive experience leading enterprise portfolio management offices to align health delivery systems and patient needs with technology roadmaps. Randy is also the co-founder and President of VETSports, a national nonprofit aimed at improving Veteran health and reintegration through sports, and serves on a number of boards focused on Veteran initiatives.
Mr. Tharp earned his Masters and bachelors degrees in business from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He has extensive experience in program and portfolio management with over 15 years of experience.
