What are the problems you help ManTech to solve?
I feel fortunate to play a role in building ManTech’s future through hiring young talent! Internships are such a vital steppingstone for both students and ManTech. The ManTech EXCELerate team hires with pride and intention that one day these mission-critical interns will help secure the future!
How do you start your day before work?
The first thing I do every morning is take my dog, Archie, for a nice long walk followed by a cup of coffee – or 3! If I am feeling really good, I will get a workout in before getting to work! It is so important to start your morning off on the right foot because it helps shape the rest of your day.
What is your number one tip for combating distractions when working from home?
Distractions can be very easy to give into when you are working from home. I find that it is vital to create the right environment for yourself! If you are able, try to set up a desk away from your main distractions. This also helps create some separation between work and personal life. Being in the right environment helps put you in the right mindset.
What is one important skill you think everyone should have?
Everyone should have the ability to really listen. Communication is a two-way channel and listening and fully comprehending what the other person is saying can sometimes be a lot harder than we think. Without the ability to listen effectively, messages can easily be misunderstood, and communication breaks down. Listening is key to effective communication!
Which superhero/ Anti-Hero character would you be and why?
I would be Arya Stark! Arya is a great example of a character who is extremely loyal to the ones she loves and despite the many trials and tribulations life threw at her, she always found a way to persevere and eventually came out on top. She gets the job done and does not let anyone get in her way!
