Sheila Blackwell is ManTech’s Vice President of Enterprise Marketing and Communications & Chief Marketing Officer, leading our marketing and communications team as it develops and executes campaigns that support ManTech’s strategic direction, revenue growth, brand recognition and reputation as the Employer of Choice in the government contracting marketplace.
Ms. Blackwell has a 25-year track record as a Communications & Marketing professional and leader, with a deep knowledge of the federal and commercial space.
Previously, she has served as Director of Corporate Communications for Neustar where she led external communications and PR and worked with Human Resources to drive corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in support of STEM education, philanthropy, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and sustainability.
Before that, Ms. Blackwell was Vice President of Communications & Marketing Communications for government contractors including FCi Federal (now PAE), Decision Sciences International (DSIC) and SRA International (now GDIT). Earlier in her career, she worked for IBM (commercial and federal sectors), MCI (public policy PR) and Cable & Wireless. She started her communications career as a TV news reporter in upstate New York.
Communications professionals too often focus on external media relations at the expense of key elements like internal communications. Internal communications drive corporate culture and deliver value by increasing employee engagement and retention.
Ms. Blackwell has served as a judge for the annual Washington Women in Technology (WIT) awards and on WashingtonExec’s MarCom Council.
