BK oversees all operational aspects from the delivery of high-tech capabilities to client engagement of MANTECH’s Space Division.
As a space industry leader, he is responsible for addressing clients’ most critical mission needs as well as leading the division’s business development, program execution, client relations, business planning and financial performance to build and sustain the company’s revenue growth and profitability.
BK’s portfolio includes work across the United States Space Force (USSF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and other space-related agencies.
During his nearly two-decade tenure at MANTECH, he has grown the company’s Space and AF business portfolio across multiple agencies, supporting clients in systems engineering and integration, digital transformation, software sustainment, cybersecurity, research & development, space operations, information technology and data management.
Spanning more than 30 years, BK’s career has been dedicated to the space business beginning with McDonnell Douglas, where he worked as a design engineer on payload fairings for the Titan IV rocket program – the largest unmanned space booster used by the U.S. Air Force at that time. He also worked at Boeing and other engineering companies, expanding his responsibilities as a sales engineer and business development manager. He understands space systems and has made it not only his career, but also his passion.
After attending business school, BK was selected for an executive management training program with The Home Depot, where he learned to manage large teams of several hundred employees focusing on improving operations through precise profit and loss management.
He earned an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).
BK serves as chairman of the Alpha Tau Omega Board of Trustees, as a board member for National Defense Industrial Association, Greater Los Angeles Chapter and as a board member for Air & Space Forces Association, Schriever Chapter.
